A little more century ago, when it ended, World War I was known as "The Great War" or "The War to End All Wars". From the perspective of 100 years later, we can look back and see that there was, unfortunately, nothing at all great about it, and neither have we advanced any significant amount toward the goal of ending all wars. I recorded this old spiritual, with its inherent anti-war message, on 10 November 2018, to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War, the following day.
