This is an album that consists exclusively of solo recordings by Marc Nerenberg recorded during the first few months of the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic lockdown. Its a varied selection of songs, some traditional and some original, all done accompanied by 5-string banjo, and most with harmonica as well. As the title suggests, there are quite a few birds and several beasts featured on the album as well as several banjo blues. The songs tend to be somewhat dark, though there are two lively trickster tales included, one about an opossum and one about a fox, that brighten the mood considerably.
